Shola joined Tyton Partners in November 2018 as Vice President in the investment banking practice. As Vice President, Shola serves as the day-to-day point of contact with clients. He is responsible for leading Associates and Analysts in researching and drafting Confidential Information Memoranda, preparing pitch presentation materials, and the development of valuation materials, buyers lists, and market trend research. He works alongside Partners and Managing Directors in marketing deals, performing outreach to potential buyers and investors, and in negotiating transaction terms.
Prior to Tyton, Shola was Vice President of Business & Corporate Development at Smithsonian Enterprises (SE), a division of the Smithsonian established to generate unrestricted income for the Institution. Shola’s work at SE included assessment of organic and M&A growth opportunities, divestitures, and operational support. Prior to SE, Shola was an Associate Director in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications group at UBS Investment Bank where he participated on M&A deal execution teams and developed client presentation materials for the technology, media, and business services markets.
Before UBS, Shola served as a law clerk to Judge Joseph Charles, Jr. in the Civil Division of Hudson County, New Jersey where he drafted judicial opinions on civil litigation cases including employment, real estate, and corporate law matters.
Shola holds a B.S from University of Maryland, College Park, a J.D., from Rutgers Law School (admitted to NY & NJ Bars), and an M.B.A from Columbia Business School.
