Nicholas is a senior principal at Tyton Partners having joined the Strategy Consulting practice in 2016. He has worked across numerous client and project types. Most notably, Nicholas has developed an expertise in the extent and impact of various institutional structures, processes, practices, and technologies related to student success in higher education.
Nicholas also serves in a part-time role as Director and member of the Investment Committee for Beyond Capital Fund. Beyond Capital is an impact investment fund that invests in seed-stage, for-profit social enterprises serving impoverished communities throughout India and East Africa. Since 2012, Nicholas has evaluated more than 300 double-bottom-line business models in the agriculture, financial inclusion, water and sanitation, and clean energy sectors.
Before joining Tyton Partners, Nicholas served as the Chief Operations Officer for Breaker. Breaker trains young people between the ages of 14-26 in high-level, employable skills such as communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. To accomplish this, Breaker uses local, national, and global challenges like food waste to introduce participants to a problem-solving process that lends immediacy and purpose to their learning.
Prior to joining Breaker, Nicholas served as an officer in the United States Army. He deployed overseas on several occasions conducting counter-insurgency, logistics, and humanitarian operations. Nicholas earned his BA from Johns Hopkins University, MBA from Columbia Business School, and MIA from Columbia University’s School of International & Public Affairs.
