Chris joined Tyton Partners in January of 2026 as a Managing Director in the investment banking practice.  Chris has nearly 20 years of experience within the education, knowledge management, and corporate training markets, as both an investor and an advisor to both public and private companies.

Prior to joining the firm, Chris was a Partner at Vanta Global, a Private Equity fund focused on making strategic investments across the global Education sector.  Chris was responsible for identifying, valuing, and structuring investment opportunities, with particular focus on businesses that deliver alternative/specialized education solutions to the K-12 system, solve funding gaps for higher education institutions, or address skills gaps across the workforce.

Before Vanta, Chris was a Vice President at Maxim Partners, a lower middle market private equity firm dedicated to both education and health & wellness.  Among Chris’s outcomes was championing Maxim’s startup investment within a wellness brand to a category leader and half-billion-dollar exit.  Chris also was a part of the Corporate Development team of Apollo Group, then parent to University of Phoenix, where he supported over a dozen buyouts across the globe as part of a joint venture with The Carlyle Group.

Chris began his career as an Analyst within the investment banking practice of Bear, Stearns & Co.  He earned a BBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, where he attended as a recipient of the Charles “Chick” Evans Scholarship.  Chris continues to actively support the Evans Scholarship Foundation, which provides full tuition and housing college scholarships to deserving caddies with limited financial means.  Chris is a CFA Charterholder and member of the CFA Society of Chicago.
