Philip “Mats” Penberthy joined Tyton Partners in 2021 as a Senior Principal in the Strategy Consulting practice, bringing 10+ years experience in consulting, education operations and teaching.
Previously, Mats spent three years as Director and Consultant in EY-Parthenon’s education practice, where he advised private equity, EdTech, and non-profit clients.
Mats began his career as a middle school social studies teacher at the Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS), and was promoted to support instruction across the lowest performing middle schools in the County. While working for MDCPS, Mats also served as an Education Consultant for Teacher Craft, an EdTech startup.
Mats holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, and a BS from the University of Washington.
