STAMFORD, CT–(Marketwired – Sep 8, 2016) – Tyton Partners, a leading advisory firm in the global knowledge market, today announced that Rich Flynn, former president of Apollo Education Ventures, will join the firm’s senior leadership team as a Managing Director in Tyton Partners’ investment banking practice. Rich has over 25 years of strategic, financial management, operational and investment execution experience with established and emerging business models, and will support Tyton Partners’ clients across the knowledge management, education, and human capital sectors.

Prior to joining Tyton Partners, Rich spent the last six years as an executive with Apollo Education Group, where he served as President of Apollo Education Ventures and Head of U.S. Corporate Development. At Apollo, Rich was responsible for evaluating growth opportunities that complemented and diversified Apollo’s existing operating entities, as well as identifying new business models that could leverage the company’s substantial resources and global reach.
Prior to Apollo, Rich ran the investment banking practice at Stout Risius Ross, LLC, a 350 person middle market advisory firm, and was a founder and General Partner at BlueStar Ventures, a venture firm that invested in emerging technology and business services companies. Earlier in his career Rich was a Managing Director in the investment banking group at ABN AMRO focusing on the education and business services sectors. Over the course of his career, Rich has advised on transactions totaling more than $4 billion of aggregate transaction value.
