About Nick

Nick Kind has spent more than 25 years helping mission-driven organizations discover and deliver their next chapter. With a career spanning strategy, investment, corporate development, and digital product management, he partners with leaders around the world to turn vision into action.

As a Managing Director at Tyton Partners, Nick leads strategic consulting projects for impact investors, family offices, philanthropies, foundations, governments, nonprofits, and corporations. His work spans the full education lifecycle – “Pre-K to grey” – and draws on his deep understanding of global education landscapes. Recent highlights of his work include helping to design a major mission-driven investment fund in U.S. K-12 education with a family office, investing over $100 million to date; coordinating a network of leading impact-oriented investors for a European education foundation; co-creating and advising Cambiar’s Thrive Grant program, which has distributed $3 million to cutting-edge organizations supporting underserved families; and advising multinational edtech companies on international expansion.

Before joining Tyton Partners, Nick was head of business insights for Holtzbrinck Publishing Group, leading a thought leadership and market intelligence team serving the board. He co-founded a successful edtech startup and executive-produced major digital learning projects for the BBC. Earlier in his career, he helped create, manage, and advise high-profile software development companies and initiatives across education markets globally.
