Vivek is a Partner at Tyton Partners. Vivek co-manages the firm’s investment banking practice having joined the practice at its inception. Vivek has over 20 years of experience in investment banking, specializing in the education, knowledge management, and corporate training markets. Over his career, Vivek has advised on over 200 transactions with an aggregate enterprise value of >$7.5B. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Vivek was a Managing Director of the education and training practice at Berkery Noyes, a mergers and acquisitions firm serving the information industry.

At Berkery Noyes, Vivek managed all aspects of mergers and acquisitions transactions for the firm’s education practice and participated in over 150 transactions across all segments of the information, media, and technology markets. In addition, he helped manage the firm’s recruiting initiatives for analysts and associates.

Over his career, Vivek has worked on several notable transactions, representing a diverse mix of entrepreneurs, PE and VC backed companies, corporations, and non-profits that serve the global knowledge and corporate training market segments. Key transactions include: Churchill Capital II’s acquisition of Skillsoft and Global Knowledge, the sale of 95 Percent Group to Leeds Equity, the sale of Cappex to EAB (Vista Equity), Francisco Partners’ acquisition of myOn, the sale of Accelify to Frontline Education (Thoma Bravo), TCV’s investment in Watermark, the merger of Compass Knowledge Holdings with Embanet (TCV and Knowledge Universe); the sale of Vistage (Knowledge Universe) to Towerbrook, the sale of National Geographic School Publishing to Cengage Learning, the sale of Carnegie Learning to CIP Capital, the sale of InsideTrack to Strada, the sale of HelioCampus to Pamlico Capital, the sale of Aztec Software to PSG Equity, the sale of LearningMate to SPi Global (Partners Group), and the sale of PSI to ABRY Partners.

Vivek is an active member, speaker, and participant in many of the leading education technology conferences in the world. He currently serves as a Trustee on the Board of Education for the Rye City School District. He holds a BS from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
