About Chris

Chris McVety brings a powerful combination of strategic insight, frontline experience, and client-centered service to every engagement. He began his career as an AmeriCorps resident in social enterprise at New Sector Alliance before joining Teach For America and teaching high school students at Boston Preparatory Charter Public School. Since then, his impact on the education sector has only expanded.

As a director at Tyton Partners, Chris leads strategic consulting projects focused on enterprise strategy, market entry, and product and pricing strategy for clients across K-12 and higher education. He partners with organizations to help them scale solutions, unlock growth opportunities, and better serve students and institutions.

Recent project highlights include:

  • Crafting a product and go-to-market strategy for a K-12 edtech provider to address unmet customer needs and expand market share.

  • Building a business case and execution plan for a nonprofit provider’s multi-product launch, detailing development timelines, capital investment requirements, optimal pricing strategies, and projected market adoption.

  • Developing an international expansion strategy to accelerate a leading edtech provider’s global growth.

Before joining Tyton Partners, Chris advised clients at Bain & Company and L.E.K. Consulting, where he worked across sectors including private equity, technology, and pharmaceuticals.
